You have not failed personally, you just have underestimated the enemy and you need to learn from it
an astrological take on the algorithm and how it destroys small businesses and individual creativity
I am looking astrologically at the algorithm as a Capricorn made hierarchy ruled power tool VERSUS the Aquarian integration “no-one-is-left-out” Internet and I’m reflecting on the current atmosphere in the small business field. The AI become such a big part of our life and economy in those final days of a very turbulent decade and now they are even gaining more power in the 2020 ies. The AI is running and regulating the public opinion and way too many of us in terms of personal value and income.

Basically every social media now is taken over by the AI industry sneakingly. Not only Instagram and Facebook, but Twitter anyway, TikTok and every other. I don’t know if this was always the plan or not, but as a matter of fact, by the end of 2022 we are fully ran by it. It practically put a foot down on us and marked us as “taken over”. Platforms like Etsy, that have been created for small businesses and handmade items by solo Entrepreneurs, are ran over by huge companies meticulously faking “handmade” and they are allowing and encouraging it. The real small business owners are pushed aside, their ideas assimilated and unseen. If they want any chance to get seen, they must buy ads and “ visibility” that can be easily at 10$ without bringing any income still. To be seen, you must invest higher sums. Etsy was a revolution back in the day of foundation (2006) and it’s rise changed the world and the lifes of many small business creators and artists. Suddenly they could make a living with their crafts and find clients worldwide. If it was a grandma in Bulgaria knitting socks from her own sheep’s wool or a Brooklyn based artist silk printing original ideas on T-shirts’ and fabrics, up to the nerdy guy who would recycle old watches, they all had found their platform and initiated the new trend of handmade instead of industrial mass production. The corporate was watching.
And guess where we are now in late 2022? Industrial mass production is faking handmade on Etsy and doing this on the very platform that once was the heart of the new movement. By killing any income of those who were the ones this platform was built for. The founders of Etsy have sold it a few years ago and this is the outcome. There are many AI tools and apps now supposed to help you to find out whats selling on Etsy. It`s sort of desperate, this fight to find a point of selling in an over saturated market. You have to pay for those apps of course. There are thousands of videos trying to tell you how to make money on Etsy, often ran by talent less marketing people copycatting from each other, selling recipes that don`t work for them, trying to make it look like there is money out there you can make without having a special skill even.
Pinterest became such a hopeless sellout place too. It was created for people with taste and ideas to exchange and build up a individual collection. Yesterday I was working on helping a friend to build up her Pinterest account. What I noticed is that it became a huge warehouse of all kind of goods. Was it before a free place for everyone to curate their own taste and collections it’s a constant pop up of shopping and prices like an online catalog. Just like Etsy, Pinterest pushes the ads and constantly invites to buy “ campaigns” that would be necessary for you to be seen in this commercial jungle.
The algorithm ( Saturn-Pluto) works as a “pre curator” of our taste and directs us cunningly towards products they “ selected for us”. Needless to say that no one needs this “I curate your taste” shit, unless you are one of these empty shell beings that don`t have a taste and need to be told what to like. We creative original humans are still pretty capable of finding out what we like without getting “told” what we like and want. Is all so overtaken that surprising discoveries and stories are just not possible any more. We are all over “supervised and directed”, curated to death and new ideas get automatically assimilated by the ever ravenous AI. I mean stolen actually. Putting out original creativity is pointless actually.
I don’t know where things will lead to or when things will change. But as I said before, this is how the Aquarian inventions of a free internet and “business opportunity for everyone on the planet” were taken over by the Capricornian cooperate world hierarchy. ( Pluto and Saturn in Capricorn, accumulation of power of the traditional forces by all means)
As Pluto is going to make a generational shift into Aquarius soon, there might be surprising help, new ideas and the death of a curated internet. I truly hope so. We Humans are getting there, we just need to understand this war machine against human.
What can be done now? Pluto will be staying in Capricorn until 2025 (going in and out from early 23 on) but Saturn moved over to Aqua in spring 2020 and did`nt make things any better for the small single creator, but even worse. Capricorn moving over into Pisces in early spring 2023, gives hope for the end of all hierarchical regulations and sell out of individual creativity, because Pisces DESOLVES everything and Capricorn corporate might find it hard to keep up its course in the neptunian fog. Its hard edges will soften for sure. Meanwhile we know that Pluto in Capricorn is almost done with destroying the structure, as what he touches he destroys for a later new rebuild. The cooperate world of the old structure will feel it, the economy will be feeling it and I guess the “ good old days” of ruling the world by a small elite and its nefarious tools will be over. Meanwhile Uranus will be working his innovative ways in traditional Taurus too.
What can we do until then? Right now I feel that any online business for small business owners is doomed more or less. It’s very hard to keep up against the huge “ selling and curating machine” it’s actually almost impossible. Small business owners must try to use their private contacts again and not rely on the online public, unless they want to invest a fortune into ads ( with doubtable success though)
Right now it’s literally better for individuals to sell things on the analog literal old school street market then on the online markets that are frustrating and unfair. Fighting with the algorithm and bots is nothing we ever have been prepared for. We have been overran by a silent invasion and we need to learn about its ways and intention. And we are waiting for the shift that’s already in preparation. The material world, the economy is in a generational change process.
Knowing that not we have failed, we have just underestimated the enemy.
