My career path from political Journalism to Illustration Artist

As a young aspiring journalist with 18years already, my first article in a local newspaper has caused a political scandal.

Actually I was only half aware of what I was doing, but I had noticed something fishy and wrong going on , so I put a sort of ainto the article that was inhearently about a harmless topic.

It detonated soon after in the mayors office causing a newly elected polititian to be seen in a not so favorable light.

The editor excused me as being “young and clueless“, but in fact I was always the „iron fist in the velvet glove“ when it came to falsehood and deception, young me was just not conscious about it. My fist career aspiration was not artist, I was an artist anyway, but I wanted to be a journalist.

For a couple of years I worked for leftists papers

because I had thought that I’m a leftist liberal, which was a rather wrong self evaluation.

My journalist activities have caused a lot of trouble in a time when you could actually say stuff (unlike now) but I was always too much into the root causes of misery and too careless about the consequences. Trouble followed me and I had never ever any protection or a mentor, so I had to find it out all the hard way. It was pretty clear that, if I followed that path, I would end up worn down and alcoholic like the old political journalists I was dealing with, they were in non stop bitter idiologicsl fights that were eating them up.

So I changed into lifestyle Journalismus about food, restaurants and movies, which was more peaceful and less nerve wrecking.

Later I made art my profession even, which came as a consequence of wanting to do something where I was not dealing with others opinion and that was less controversial. It happened accidentally that I became an illustrator. It was because I wanted to illustrate my articles on food and travel. Looking back I think I was guided to do this…it wasn’t my purpose to become a professional artist. After all it all ended up being a den of thieves, backstabbers and worse still …the whole media field is penetrated through and threw with … I don’t even know how to call them…characterless opportunists and soul sellers that would lie go over dead bodies? What we see now at this stage is the total proof of the decay of the overall media into the garbage state of existence lacking any spark of higher intention or truth or moral responsibility and obligation to higher good.

When all this is over, I will go back into journalism, my first career desire.
